Patron Foundation - Culture for Kids

Museums, Zoos and Aquariums The Patron Foundation implements the Culture for Kids program through a national network of museum, zoo, aquarium and performing arts partners.

Institutions enrolled as Community Partners receive funding when school and civic organization grant recipients take field trips to their organization.

The program also makes funds directly available to museums, zoos, aquariums and performing arts organiza-tions to support their education and community outreach initiatives.

Culture for Kids supports organizations which are:

A legally organized nonprofit institution, or part of a nonprofit organization or government entity;

Has at least one professional staff member or the full-time equivalent, paid or unpaid, whose primary responsibility is essentially educational in nature;

Open at least 20 hours per week and provides educational services to the general public which include offering regularly scheduled field trip programs.
